What opportunity have you found in the last week? I imagine that you’ve found several.
Now… if you feel like you’ve been blocked from doing anything, here’s a fun little tip.
Ask your customers what they want. This is a great way to provide service, create your content, and gain some valuable insights.
Here’s my example… right now we are not able to open to the public with our retail store. And quite frankly, it’s hard to know what “open” means once that happens. Does it mean limiting occupancy? Can we have restrooms? Even if we can do these two things, what will be the comfort level of our customers.
OK, lots of issues to consider.
Last summer we were running into a problem. Our store was full (good problem) but our check out lane was s-l-o-w. (bad problem). We did some research over the winter to find a new point of sale program.
We haven’t implemented it, but we got another idea…
Just in case we cannot open our doors, we still want to be able to sell “stuff”.
But what stuff?
We asked. We created a small survey to find out what our customers would buy in a “grab and go” type format.
We announced the survey in an email about other updates to our customers… it’s a great way to help us understand what the customers want… but it also helps share the excitement of the new service with our customers without “forcing it on them” and instead encourages their feedback on how to make it a service they desire.
It’s been a great content builder, information gather, and tribe bonding topic.
Today is our content and consistency day, so I hope this gives you a way to take your own situation and start a conversation about the future with your tribe by simply making a simple survey and asking for their feedback.
