YES… you must lead with content and relationship building… it’s like our Tuesday and Thursday topics collide!
This means the content you create is a very important foundation to your future success. When you switch your mindset from selling to relationships it becomes much easier to create the content that once seemed irrelevant.
You work to get your “tasks” done each day – whether it’s shipping, billing, or even cleaning… and then you need to sit down and create some magnificent form of writing and HA it seems like a tortured task vs. important relationship gift.
Your customers need this content to transform to a tribe. It’s the thing that makes you different.
Why is this important?
Well… do you enjoy receiving email after email where someone is only selling you something? See… I hate it. I truly hate opening an email where it’s all about “this on sale” “get it before it’s gone” –
BUT…
I love getting emails that teach me. When I learn something new I feel closer to the leader. They automatically elevate our relationship to a higher position.
And when you think about it… our relationship is totally one sided! Sure, I feel something via the message, but the person writing is not writing “to” me… they might be thinking of the “idea” of me… but they are not creating an individual message just for me!
This is what you need to do with your “selling”. Instead of “bargain, bargain, bargain” write to make each person feel special individually with content they want! Anticipate their needs, give them a treasure, and make them feel special.
