“A river cuts through stone, not because of power but because of persistence.” JWarberg
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Time to get motivated… so… do you have what it takes? It’s one thing to set a goal, but it’s another to stick with it until you accomplish the goal.
This is why it’s so important to switch from the mind set of goal setting to goal achievement. Anyone can set a goal. Not everyone will achieve a goal. There are a few ways to strategically increase you success rate. It starts with breaking down the goal in to smaller attainable chunks.
It’s hard to lose 50lbs. Infact, when you focus on 50 pounds and lose one pound, sure it’s a step in the right direction, but it’s daunting. Now if you break it up into smaller successes, such as 5 pounds or 10 pounds, then a loss of one pound is much more significant! This also helps motivate you to continue on to the bigger goal.
On my website you’ll find even more helpful hints for goal achievement including SWOT analysis and the SMART goal setting technique. I hope you’ll check it out because it’s very important to determine what you need to achieve and have the ability to make it happen.
I’m not sure that the water has a goal of cutting through the stone, but it’s with persistence that it does. Work on your small actions and over time you will have big results.
