Dog: “bark bark bark bark BARK BARK”
There a storm going on outside and my dog, Mr. Pancake, is going crazy. I feel bad for him, because he’s scared. He hates storms and they freak him out.
I heard a quote today that those who talk to their dog have a higher intelligence than those that don’t talk to their dog.
Well, right about now I’m a genius! (honestly… I’ve never met a person that doesn’t talk to their dog – that’s strange to me.)
Anyway.
Back to Mr. Pancake. He’s barking. I’m talking to him. And he’s still barking.
There’s nothing you can do with a dog, they simply can’t be reasoned with…they’re great for fetch, snuggles, and make great listeners… but you cannot teach them to understand that thunder is not a giant monster growling at them.
You are not a dog.
If you find yourself barking make sure to figure out if it’s something scary or an irrational fear.
Sometimes your giant growling monster is just thunder.
